Unbelievable wins for Dominic Thiem and Rafael Nadal at ATP finals in London 2019

Dominic Thiem and Rafael Nadal got unbelievable wins at ATP finals that take place in London between 10 and 17 November 2019.

On Tuesday 12 November 2019, the Austrian Dominic Thiem played against the Serbian Novak Djokovic, one of the tournament favorite. The Serbian got the first set, but the Austrian played better in the second set and won it. The third set was the most difficult for both players. Finally, Dominic Thiem won and having two victories in the group, will play in the semifinals for sure.

On Wednesday 13 November 2019 the Spanish Rafael Nadal played against the Russian Daniil Medvedev. Both athletes lost the first match in the group. The young Russian won the first set at tie-break, with 7-3. The present nr.1 ATP , Rafael Nadal, managed to win the second set. In the third set, Medvedev had 5-1 and lost two match balls. Nadal came back in the match and won games, scored 6-5. Medvedev won his service and the match had to finish with another tie-break. Finally, Rafael Nadal won the match and keep chances for the semifinals.

Rafael Nadal will meet the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas for a place in the semifinals. The young Greek will play tonight agains the German Alexander Zverev.

Thiem and Nadal won the most difficult matches at these ATP finals in London. If Nadal`s victory was not a big surprise, the amazing win of Dominic Thiem, was, however, unexpected. Djokovic won Paris master tournament easy only few weeks ago. He beated Matteo Berettini easily in the first match at ATP finals. As a result of his excelent matches in last weeks and months, the Serbian was the big favorite of the group. Now, he is obliged to win the match against the super star Roger Federer for a place in the semifinals.
