The young Polish Iga Swiatek won the women`s singles trophy at Roland Garros tennis tournament, edition 2020. The final took place this afternoon in Paris, the French capital. Iga Swiatek, 19 years old, defeated the American Sofia Kenin, 21 years old, in two sets, 6-4, 6-4.
Swiatek won the French trophy at double and Wimbledon at single, but when she played as a junior. Today she claimed her first important win as a professional player. She is the only Polish player who has won one of the 4th important tennis tournament.
Tomorrow the men`s single final will take place between two of biggest players all the time: the Spanish Rafael Nadal who won 12 times Roland Garros and the Serbian Novak Djokovic.
