Sweden ladies team and Norway men team are cross-country relays world champions in Seefeld 2019, beating all the other teams.
Ladies offered an amazing race, with a group of three beating for the gold medal. Sweden, Norway and Russia were on the top of the course all the time. Sweden had Stina Nilsson on the last exchange and Norway Therese Johaug. The Russian team lost the chance to fight for the title on the last exchange. Stina Nilsson beat Therese Johaug on last meters and Sweden became world champion. Norway got the silver medal and Russian finished on the third place.
Men competition was hard on first three exchanges. Many teams were in a big group fighting for the gold medal. On last echange, Norway, Russia and Finland kept chances for the title. Step by step, the Norwegian Johannes Klaebo took advantage and crossed the finish line the first. Norway became world champion for the 10th times consecutively. That is an incredible performance!
What brilliant World Championships in Seefeld 2019 for Norwegians cross-country men! Johannes Klaebo has already three gold medals, Emil Iversen, Sjur Roethe and Martin Sundby have two world champion titles, each of them!
Ladies` 30 km. is the next cross-country race in Seefeld, on Saturday 2 March 2019.
