The Austrian Stephanie Venier won the downhill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, on Sunday, 27 January 2019. The women Alpine Ski World Cup event that took place in well-known German ski resort Garmisch-Partenkirchen finished with the downhill. Kandahar slope held the downhill race.
The Austrian Stephanie Venier won the downhill, claiming her first victory in the Alpine Ski World Cup. The Italian Sofia Goggia arrived on the second position and proved a spectaculous come-back again, after her terrible injury. The third place belonged to the German athlete Kira Weidle.
Austrians skiers won both races devellopped in Alpine Ski World Cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on 26 and 27 January 2017.
Next week the Bavarian winter sports resort Garmisch-Partenkirchen will host men`s Alpine Ski World Cup.
