The slalom king Marcel Hirscher won the night race in Schladming

The slalom king Marcel Hirscher won the night race in Schladming, Austria, on Tuesday, 29 January 2019. The Austrian superstar claimed the victory in one of most waited race in the Alpine Ski World Cup. The beautiful ski resort Schladming hosts the slalom night race late January each year. This event comes after Kitzbuehel alpine ski races and before Garmisch-Partenkirchen races.

Marcel Hirscher had a fantastic race again. His both runs were perfect and he won the slalom with a huge difference ahead the French Alexis Pinturault who finished on the second place. The Swiss Daniel Yule arrived on the third position.

More than 45000 ski fans enjoyed the slalom night race that took place in a fantastic athmosphere on Planai slope. Most of public was Austrian and celebrated Marcel Hirscher`s win with flags and torchs. Hirscher won for the third time the slalom in Schladming.

The men`s Alpine Ski World Cup will go on next weekend in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with downhill and giant slalom.
