Marco Schwarz and Vincent Kriechmayr won alpine combined and downhill World Cup in Lauberhorn races, Wengen

Marco Schwarz and Vincent Kriechmayr won alpine combined and downhill World Cup in Wengen. The weekend 18-20 January 2019 Audi FIS World Cup is held in the charming Swiss village Wengen. The event takes places during three days. On Friday alpined combined was won by the Austrian Marco Schwarz. On Saturday, the famous Lauberhorn downhill had another Austrian winner, Vincent Kriechmayr.

On Friday, the slalom run firstly, due to the weather and Marco Schwarz finished the first. He managed to keep the first position after the downhill and got another victory, after his first win in the Ski World Cup claimed in Zagreb. Two French athletes, Victor Muffat-Jeandet and Alexis Pinturault ended on second and third places.

The most waited race from this weekend, the famous Lauberhorn downhill, the longest in the Ski World Cup, was won by Vincent Kriechmayr. The Austrian had an amazing race and no other skier could beat him. The Swiss Beat Feuz and the Norwegian Aleksander Kilde had excelent evolutions, but they could not claim the first position. Feuz finished the second and Kilde the third.

On Sunday the slalom will end the Ski World Cup event held in Wengen.
