The Japan highflyer Ryoyu Kobayashi won the opening Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf

The Japan highflyer Ryoyu Kobayashi won the opening Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf, Germany, today, 30 December 2018. This 67th edition of this well-known event started in the German ski resort Oberstdorf, as ussually. Weather conditions were not good, but the event could take place. Schattenberg ski jump is one of the biggest hill in the world, besides Heini Klopfer flying hill, the another one located few kilometers far from Schattenberg ski jump.

Yesterday in qualification the Austrian Stefan Kraft had the best flight, but today he only got the third place. The second place was occupied by the German Markus Eisenbichler who lost the first place for only 0.4 points.

The highflyers from Norway and Poland, ones of favorites, had not good flights for being on the top today.

The Four Hills Tournament will continue tomorrow with qualification in the best-known German ski resort, Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The event will take place on 1st January 2019.
