The beautiful Swiss ski resort Wengen hosts Alpine Ski World Cup every mid January. The village is located in the hearth of Bernese Oberland and is an excellent area for winter sports.
Lauberhorn slope is famous for the longest downhill in the Alpine Ski World Cup. Every year the best alpine ski racers compete in order to win this famous race. On Saturday 14 January 2023 the Norwegian Kilde won after a spectaculous race. The present overall leader, the local favorite Marco Odermatt, arrived on the second place while the Italian Mattia Casse got the third time.
Kilde won the SuperGiant on the previous day too. He was followed by the Swiss Rogentin and Marco Odermatt.
The Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen won the slalom race on the last day of Wengen alpine ski World Cup events.
The next events will take place in the Tyrolean well-known ski resort Kitzbuehel.
