Norwegian mixed relay won the gold medal at Biathlon World Championships Östersund 2019 on Thursday, 7 March 2019.
This was the first competition devellopped at Biathlon World Championships 2019 that take place in Swedish winter sports city Östersund. The event starts on 7 March 2019 and will finish on Sunday 17 March 2019.
Mixed relays meaning 2 women and 2 men was the first race of the World Championships. The competition took place in heavy snowfall and very low temperature. In spite of the terrible weather, the biathlon fans filled Östersund arena.
A group of three teams had fought for the world champion title, Norway, Germany and Italy. In the last exchange, the German Benedikt Doll didn`t managed to beat the Norwegian Christiansen.
Norway won the race and became the world champion 2019. Germany won the silver medal and Italy finished on the third place.
