Matthias Mayer won the Alpine Combined in Wengen Lauberhorn 2020

The Austrian Matthias Mayer won the Alpine Combined that took place in FIS World Cup alpine ski in Wengen Lauberhorn competition. The race happened on Friday, 17 January 2020 on the well-known slope Lauberhorn.

The Olympic champion Matthias Mayer won for the first time in his carreer in the beautiful Swiss ski resorts Wengen.

Mayer had the best downhill from all athletes and a good slalom run. Both helped him to finished the first. The main favorite, the French Alexis Pinturault, arrived the second. Another French, Victor Muffat Jeandet got the third position.

The FIS alpine ski event goes on in Wengen with the most waited race, the amazing downhill, on Saturday, 18 January 2020. The last race will be the slalom, on Sunday.
