The Austrian Mario Seidl won the nordic combined triple that took place in French resort Chaux-Neuve. Normally, the triple is held by the Austrian ski village Seefeld, but this year the Tyrolean village will held the Nordic World Ski Championships in February 2019. Chaux-Neuve was chosen to host the famous nordic combined triple in 2019.
No favorite won the triple, no German or Norwegian athlete managed to conquer the trophy. The winner was the Austrian Mario Seidl who had a fantastic weekend. He won the race on Sunday and finished first after three days of the event. This was the biggest success in his career.
Another Austrian, Franz-Josef Rehrl, won on Friday and on Saturday, but he could not claim the fabulous triple trophy.
Next competition will take place the coming weekend in Norway.
