Germany is world champion 2019 at nordic combined team sprint in Seefeld, today, 24 February 2019. The superstar Eric Frenzel and Fabian Riessle won the gold medal for Germany at Nordic Ski World Championships 2019 at nordic combined team sprint.
First part of the final, the ski jumping competition, took place in Innsbruck, on Bergisel large hill. Germany got the first place with best jumps of Frenzel and Riessle. In other words, Germany started the cross-country firstly.
Seefeld arena held the cross-country competition. Eric Frenzel started the first and increased the advantage at about half minute even from the beginning. His teammate Riessle run fast too and kept the advantage untill last runs. Then, the advantage decreased at about 12 s. On the final run, Riessle kept the advantage and crossed the finish line the first. In other words, Germany kept the world champion title at nordic combined team sprint.
Norway won the silver medal, Riiber and Schmid having good jumps and runs. Austrian team with Franz-Josef Rehrl and Bernhard Gruber won the bronze medal. They lost the second place few meters before crossing the finish line.
Germany has won two times world champion title at team sprint, firstly in Lahti, Finland, two years ago and now, in Seefeld, Austria.
