German mixed team is ski jumping world champion 2019 in Seefeld after a splendid fight with Austrian mixed team.
The ski jumping had today the last final at the Nordic Ski World Championships in Seefeld. The mixed team competition took place at the normal hill Toni Seelos. The weather conditions were much better than yesterday. However, the wind was changing often and influenced jumps.
In the first round, Austrian team had a splendid start and was on the top much time. On the second round, Germany had better and longer jumps. Finally, Germans won the gold medal and became world champion again. They kept the title won two years again in Lahti, Finland. The winners are: Katharina Althaus, Juliane Seyfarth, Markus Eisenbichler and Karl Geiger.
Austrian mixed team with Daniela Iraschko-Stolz, Eva Pinkelnig, Stefan Kraft and Philipp Aschenwald won the silver medal.
Norway finished on the third place, beating the Slovenian team for the bronze medal. Norwegians jumpers had a very small advantage in front of Slovenians. Only the last jump decided the bronze medal.
Fans filled Seefeld arena and enjoyed this amazing competition. In other words, the athmosphere was really incredible.
The Austrian Stefan Kraft claimed three medals, but unfortunately, he could not keep the individual title won in Lahti.
German jumpers became world champion four times: Markus Eisenbichler at the Bergisel large hill in Innsbruck, men team at the Bergisel large hill in Innsbruck, ladies team and mixed team at the Toni Seelos normal hill in Seefeld.

Next Nordic Ski World Championships will take place in German ski resort Oberstdorf in 2021.
