European Men’s Handball Championship 2020 goes on in the fourth day with big surprises: France is out, Austria got the second win and Slovenia beat Sweden.
Terrible day for French team who goes home in only few days. One of the main favorites, France lost the match against Norway. The match took place in Norwegian city Trondheim. The Norway team played very well while the French team hardly could face. Norway is one of this championship`s hosts.
Austria, another host, got the second win and will continue the competition. Austria beat Ukraine today. It is one of revelations of this competition.
Another big surprise today is the win of Slovenian team against Sweden.
European Men’s Handball Championship takes place in Austria, Sweden and Norway. It is the first time when more countries host this competition. Vienna and Graz are the Austrian hosts. While Norway and Sweden have a big tradition in handball, Austria is not known with good teams or important national handball championships, women and men. The first two matches of Austrian national men team have been nice surprises.
