Federico Pellegrino wins in Val Müstair, in the first day of the FIS Tour de Ski cross country competition, edition 2021. This year the Tour de Ski hosts are the Swiss ski town Val Müstair and the Italian ski resorts Toblach and Val di Fiemme. The competition will finish on 10th January 2021.

The Tour de Ski event starts in the first day of each year. This year the Swiss ski resort Val Müstair gives the start with women`s and men`s sprints free style.

Both qualifications and finals takes place today.

The Swedish Linn Svahn wins the women`s event. The American Jessica Diggins arrived on the second place and the Swedish Frida Karlsson got the third position.

Men`s event has this podium: Federico Pellegrino is on first place, the Russian Alexander Bolshunov is on the second place and the French Richard Jouve is on the third place. The Italian has proved his best qualities in sprint free style again. The Russian Bolshunov, who won the Tour de Ski edition 2019-2020, could not defeat Pellegrino today.

The Tour de Ski will go on in Val Müstair on 2nd January 2021 with women`s and men`s long distance classic style events.

Bolshunov keeps the first place at overall in Cross Country World Cup and Pellegrino has the second place.
