The Norwegians Maiken Falla and Johannes Klaebo are cross-country sprint world champions 2019. They won the gold medals on 21 February 2019, the second day of Nordic Ski World Championships that take place in Tyrolean ski resort Seefeld, Austria.

Cross-country was the winter sport that started finals. The first nordic ski world champions 2019 are both from Norway. The first final was ladies sprint. Maiken Falla kept her sprint world champion title won two years ago. She beat again the Swedish Stina Nilsson, the Olympic sprint champion. The Norwegian Mari Eide got the bronze medal.

Men final sprint finished with Johannes Klaebo`s victory, he beaten the Italian Federico Pellegrini short time before the finish. The Russian Gleb Retivykh won the bronze medal. Johannes Klaebo has proved his excellent abilities again and seems to be unbeatable this season.

Tomorrow, 22 February 2019, the World Championships go on with nordic combined final and ski jump qualifications.
