Eberspächer Luge World Cup goes on in Eisarena Königssee, 2nd January 2021

Eberspächer Luge World Cup goes on in Königssee, during 2 and 3 January 2021. The Bavarian town helds World Cup luge races every year at the famous Eisarena. The track is artificial one and has held Luge World Championships too.

Today two competitions took place: doubles and men`s singles.

Doubles race finished with the win of the Germans Eggert and Benecken. They arrived ahead their team mates Wendl and Arlt and the Austrians Steu and Koller. Wendl and Arlt won the first round, but they had the second time after the final race.

Men`s singles race had as favorite the German Felix Loch who is the present World Cup overall leader. The final podium after two rounds was this: Felix Loch the first place, the Russian Roman Repilov the second place and the German Johannes Ludwig the third place.

Felix Loch keeps the first place at overall in the Luge World Cup, ahead his team mate Johannes Ludwig and the Russian Roman Repilov.

The competition will continue tomorrow with women`s singles and team relays.
