Denise Hermann is pursuit world champion at Biathlon World Championships 2019 in Östersund, Sweden

The German Denise Hermann is pursuit world champion at Biathlon World Championships 2019 that take place in Östersund, Sweden.

The Biathlon World Championships have today two events: ladies and men pursuit. Ladies pursuit has finished short time ago. The Slovakian Kuzmina started the first, after winning the gold medal in sprint race. She failed the first shots and lost any chance for a medal. The Swedish Brorsson became the leader until the last shots. Then, she failed some shots and a group of three fought for the gold medal.

The German Denise Hermann had an important advantage in front of her teammate Laura Dahlmeier and the Norwegian Tiril Eckhoff. Hermann kept the advantage and became pursuit world champion. Eckhoff beat Dahlmeier on last few meters before crossing the finish line. In other words, German team won the gold and the bronze medals.

Denise Hermann became world champion at pursuit with an amazing race, a very good skiing and excelent shots. This is her first world champion title.
