The cycling race Paris-Nice 2019 has started today in the city Saint-Germain-en-Laye. This well-known cycling race is the first important event in the cycling season 2019.
The first stage took place in the French city Saint-Germain-en-Laye. This locality is situated in the western part of the French capital, Paris.
The Dutch Dylan Groenewegen from the Dutch team Jumbo-Visma won this first stage. He got the yellow jersey. The Australian Ewan from Loto Soudal team finished the second. Another Dutch, Fabio Jakobsen, from Quick Step team, crossed the finish line the third.
Tomorrow the stage will start from Les Bréviaires and will finish at Bellegarde.
The race will arrive in Nice at the end of the week for an amazing finish on the French Riviera.
