The young French skier Clement Noel won the slalom race in Kitzbühel, Austria, on Saturday, 26 January 2019.
The FIS Alpine Ski World Cup has continued the event in superb Austrian ski resort Kitzbühel. On Saturday the slalom took place on Ganslern slope.
The young French Clement Noel won the race, one week later after his big succes in Swiss ski village Wengen. There, he won the slalom beating the favorite Marcel Hirscher. In Kitzbühel, Noel was the second after the first run. Marcel Hirscher had a modest first run, but his second run was fantastic, again. He was beaten only by Clement Noel, after the second run. The Swiss Ramon Zenhausern, who won the first run, could not finish the second run. The French Alexis Pinturault arrived on the third position.
The weather was difficult for ski races, with heavy snowfall and much wind. Normally, the slalom race should taken place on Sunday, but it was moved one day earlier due to weather conditions. In spite of the weather, lots of fans came and enjoyed the race, one of the most waited in the Ski World Cup.
FIS Alpine Ski World Cup event will goes on tomorrow with the super-G race.
