Alexis Pinturault wins giant slalom in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Alexis Pinturault wins giant slalom in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in FIS World Cup, season 2019-2020. The French claimed his second victory in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Kandahar slope helded today the giant slalom in the FIS alpine ski Garmisch-Partenkirchen races. The slope was not in the best conditions, however the skiers could perform without big problems.

The French Alexis Pinturault wins after the two runs, followed by the Swiss Loic Meillard and the Norwegian Leif Nestvold-Haugen.

Alexis Pinturault proved that he is one of the best skiers at giant slalom once again. His second run was very fast and gave him the first position on the podium.

The Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen got the 7st place while his teammate Aleksander Kilde arived the 6th. The Croatian Filip Zubcic was the big surprise of this race. With two good runs, he arrived on the 4th place.

In spite of this victory, Alexis Pinturault could not get the first place at overall podium. Henrik Kristoffersen still keeps the first position at overall, followed by Pinturault and Kilde.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen will held women alpine ski races on next weekend. FIS World Cup will go on in the Bavarian ski resort with downhill and giant slalom races.

Men skiers will perform in the beautiful French winter sports resort Chamonix next weekend.
